I watched it this afternoon. You know, it was just OK for me

Not my fave season premiere. I am sure it will get better though.

I hope so. I wasn't just disappointed because Elena chose Stefan, I was disappointed because they turned Elena into a vampire and Stefan allowed it. He knows how painful it has been being a vampire and was very selfish, IMO, in taking the easy way in saving Elena, even though it was her choice.....and why didn't they delve more into her and Damon meeting first? What else did he suppress from her memory?

I am not happy that she is a vampire either. I really feel the show needed her to stay human. I don't think he was selfish. Just thought he felt he did what he had too. I love Damon, but I do want Elena with Stefan so I am cool with that aspect of the show.

I don't know what else was suppressed.

I'll just never get Stefan. The only time I found him somewhat interesting was when he had reverted to his ripper days last season. I usually find him quite boring.

I think with time Elena will begin to realize that Stefan did her no favours in turning her and will begin to turn away from him because of it.

She's a vampire now??? Even though I don't really watch this show I'm still surprised they went that way. I wonder why they did that.

I was disappointed in the show too. Is there anyone that isn't something? I just don't like where this is going. Canear, I'm with you about Stefan........I adore Damon!

The actor who plays Stefan is one of the top contenders for the lead in Fifty Shades of Gray so I guess I am not the only one who finds him sexy

Wow ........ he sure wouldn't be my choice! I can't believe they can make that into a movie. From what I hear it would have to be xxxxxxxxxx rated.

I have not read the book but I hear the same. I read they will be very careful about what all they put in so as to get an R rating.

He is on a list of 10 actors. Tom Hardy is considered the top choice right now. Do not see anything appealing about Tom Hardy - but I won't be going to see the movie anyway so I guess it doesn't matter.

Honestly, if I could cast the film it would be Jensen Ackles!!! Hands down the most gorgeous and sexy actor out there!!!!!!!!!! And his speaking voice only can melt you!

Oh Canear - you have no idea how amazing he is unless you watch him on Supernatural! And he can sing and play guitar to boot!!!

I haven't seen him in a while but I remember him from Days of Our Lives!

I have read all three books and once you get involved with the individual characters, the sexual content takes the background and the incredible love story between Christian and Anatasia is front and foremost.

Sky, a LOT of people feel Jensen (God, I even love his name!!) would be perfect for the part of Christian but feel they will look for a bigger name and a movie star. Jensen has made a few horror movies - but is mostly known as a TV star. Not sure how Paul (Stefan) got so high up the list since I don't think he is any bigger of a name than Jensen - but he was on the famous "list of 10".

Well all the ladies in the hair salon the other day pick the actor of Damon for the role! Appearance, doesn't fit but he'd be excellent!

There was a thread at ONTD about a week ago.

Besides Paul and Tom Hardy there was Matt Boomer, Jesse Pavelka, Henry Cavill, Colin Egglesfield, Alexander Skargard and I believe Alex Pettyfer. This was a list by a "rumored source" and those are the names I remember. I do think Matt Boomer would be an excellent choice. I really like him. But would they pick a gay man????

Ian is on a lot of "fan" lists or "fantasy lists" that are out there.

Paul is the only name I know on that list. Are there no major stars on it?

Tom Hardy and Matt Boomer were the biggest names. I think that blonde brother of Miley's fiance was on the list too.

Henry Cavill played Charles Brandon, Henry VIII's BFF on "The Tudors." He's also playing Superman in the upcoming movie.
