Saw this and thought of you....... Sorry Fang but the game is up and the truth is out !
Cats 'exploit' humans by purring
Cat owners may have suspected as much, but it seems our feline friends have found a way to manipulate us humans.
Researchers at the University of Sussex have discovered that cats use a "soliciting purr" to overpower their owners and garner attention and food.
Unlike regular purring, this sound incorporates a "cry", with a similar frequency to a human baby's.
The team said cats have "tapped into" a human bias - producing a sound that humans find very difficult to ignore. Dr Karen McComb, the lead author of the study that was published in the journal Current Biology, said the research was inspired by her own cat,Pepo.
Fang, you are a crafty creature....................

Pepo looks just like Fang kind of...only more girlish. Maybe black cats with white markings are more intelligent than others and have figured out how to jerk their owner's chains!
Right babe?

Lol I rather think it may be Fangs chain that gets pulled when Adrift reads this. Though it may be a case of having to 'catch' him first.
Fang - your going to have to do some serious thinking on how to get around this one now your secret is out.

Ah well , I'm not worried! I think we have all realised what an idiot Lodger Drifty is If she reads that article - I'll just stop the purring completely for a couple of days, she will panic.....oooooooooo I feel a cunning plan coming on! Oh & HL Babeeee - of course black & white cats are more intellegent
I have held many conventions for purring tecniques, showing how the individual cat can make the best of it's eyes & paws
One of my students took to it straight away, & even managed to add that "cute clumsy" factor (at 52 seconds). He went on to start his own workshops & we still keep in touch thesedays.

NOOOOOOOOOO not for Lodger Drifty...for me!!! - that is so much like Fluff in his younger days!!!
But yes HL Uisrite Babe Though I got caught out last night, certain lady in this area has been magnetically drawn to me & keeps hanging around out the house - she really is a babe! Lodger Drifty thinks she is really sweet, but I have to keep the ladieee guessing! The ladieeee sneaked in the house last night when Lodger Drifty was on here, gave me a quick kiss, but that damned bell round her neck alerted Lodger Drifty! LD (Lodger Drifty) turned round, saw my newest fan & said "Awwwwwwww - you shouldn't be in here" I did the first thing I could think of (hide) but my latest squeeze toughed it out with massive purrs & the cutest roll on back I have ever seen!MAN! LD then told me to be nice - Oh I had planned to be VERY nice, but then LD lured my latest conquest out the door with some of my biscuits & shut the door!!!! HOW COULD SHE???? Dammit....my biscuits!!!!!
Just to correct you RC, yes...my offspring might have been involved in Cat launched into space - but trust me, if he were my offspring he would be hiding behind a nearby bush sniggering at the mug he bribed to pull the lever!!
