Damm I was right. I tried to let Adam fans,(as well as Kris fans),know not to pull anything on radio people and start spamming them and going all fan crazy when trying to get the idols singles played on the radio,(I put out the list that the clayboard had put out of the right things to do for getting radio play for Adam and Kris and so on),. People gave me crud saying I didn't know what I was talking about and now it is coming back to bite them on the ass. Some Dj's are so pissed off, especially one dj on Z100,(he is the one most pissed off cause he is getting hate tweets from fans. He did one thing wrong when he said he thought calling yourself a glambert was silly,(he likes Adam but does not know why the fans name themselves. I do wonder why he didn't mention the lambskanks, that name I could never be called), Not smart guy. He is getting called homophobic now). I pray that this does not stop them from playing Adam's music. He needs radio play but I know from being a Clay fan that if the Dj's get pissed off enough they won't play the songs and they they make a joke of the singer. Clay never deserved that crap and Adam does not either so it better not start happening. Adam is to talented to not have his songs playing on the radio.

Closing statement. When I say something I say it cause I care and maybe next time when I say something they won't be so so quick to judge me and take what I am saying as just trying to help. If they would of listened in the first place they could of got the message out to other Adam sites and this crap maybe would of never happened.

Sometimes people are going to do whatever they want to do regardless. They don't care what anybody else says and if someone tries to stop them they'll push for it even harder. They just put blinders on and can't see past what it is they're out to accomplish without stopping to think if it's the right way to go about it. But hopefully some realize the error of their ways when something so big and important goes wayward and they do the best they can to correct it. I would hate to see things that went wrong with Clay go wrong with Adam especially radio play.

And DJ's who won't play an artist or an awesome song JUST because SOME fans go overboard with the requesting are IMMATURE and childish! IT is NOT the artist's fault that there are some fans that do this!!

But you have to remember that most of the DJ's don't have the control over the songs. It is the stations producer or whoever that picks the songs that get played. When people spam stations and email nasty messages to the DJ's is pisses them off cause they don't have control over what gets played or not. The fans seem to forget this and totally attack the DJ's. Some Dj's are asses and deserve t6o be attacked, but there are actually some nice dj's and this guy who was getting the tweets and emails from the ticked Adam fans is actually one of the guys who likes Adam and the song.

I don't care if it is the DJ's or station managers. To punish an ARTIST because they don't like some of their fans is childish - period. To not play a great song because fans request it too much - doesn't even make sense to me. If it's a great song PLAY IT! So what if some fans are OTT. There are OTT fans for tons of artists, for sports teams and even for politicians! Should we not vote for a great candidate because of some OTT people? Should we root against teams because some fans get too drunk and throw things and go shirtless with crazy paint on them??

I would bet you anything from what I have been reading they,(the fans), aren't going through the right channels to request it which in a way tells me that some people doing the requesting are not from the area. One thing I learned being a fan of clay. Only request songs on the stations in your area and if the song can be requested on line make sure to follow the procedure that the station has put out for requesting. One of the complaints that I have been reading on this newest issue is that people were not going onto the sites request area and filling out the request form. They were sending request other ways and because of this the song was not getting played.

Yes dj's and the station mangagers shouldn't punish the artist but the fans do need to follow the rules. Being a Clay fan I guess I am lucky i learned early on about the requesting etiquette and that is why I had tried to help out and let Adam and Kris fans by letting them know. All the info I gave them was collected by dear Eleyna before she left the clay fanbase. She researched forever to get all the proper ways of doing the requesting. I think the info is right on. I hope now this has happened the people will look at that info again and follow it. I think the fans will be happy, the stations will be happy, the dj's will be happy and so will Adam and whomever else.

I understand there are "proper ways" to request a song (though for the life of me I don't know why there has to be so many rules just to request a song be played on the dang radio) but nobody can ever get me to agree that improper fan requests is a reason not to play a song. I have never seen the Bears get a touchdown taken away because a fan threw a beer can, fought in the stands, booed etc. (which is not the proper ways to watch a game).

I remember reading some time back that "radio is a mafia," and if that is really the mindset, it doesn't matter who ticks off those asses--they will retaliate in whatever way they can. Since it is fans who listen to the radio, the radio can punish the fans by not playing the music they request.

Now that I have a superb sound system in my car, I have stopped listening to radio. My CD player can play mp3 CDs, and now I get to hear what I like, with nary a commercial nor obnoxious song within earshot!

I'm waiting for the day when radio play is no longer a guage of a "hit." You know what "hit" means in mafia jargon, right?

I don't listen to the radio either NN. Only my CDs. Hubby listens though - to oldies and sports and Rush

Kris wrote a message on twitter and on Facebook thanking the veterans for all they have given and are giving for this country. Some people are comments to his post like Go Bananas, Go Adam and blah blah blah. It pisses me off that some people do this. His message is for our veterans who give their all for us and these people have to leave messages like this that kind up just ruin Kris's thank you. Isn't there a day people can lay off from having to sabatauge someone's messages to get something else out there.

Ugh some people are even posting in there dissing the veterans. Just sick. I wish Kris could delete those post.

Just makes me mad. Do not get me wrong I love and adore Adam and I would get mad if he would of posted this and someone came on to say go Kris and the other stuff. This type of post shouldn't be made into a fan war. This type of post should be followed with replys of Amen or Thank you cause of giving thanks for the veterans on their day.

ETA: I think why this bugs me so much is because I come from a military family. Both Grand fathers were in the Army and fought in WW2 my Dad and Uncle both Air force dudes. My Brother in Law Army. I have so much respect for the people who joint the arm forces and don't liek to see disrespect when it comes them.

Jesus Christ what the hell is going on with Idol Forums. The general discussion forum is getting turned into a war zone and most of the fighting going on has to do with Adam. There is like three threads that pretty much may be getting locked cause of the fighting. Many Adam fans fighting each other which is a new one. I am seeing people are mad that Adam spoke his mind about Gene Simmons in RS. The thing that is bugging me the most is Adam getting personaly attacked and that there is some witches in there that are purposely bringing in Matt and Kris into the threads; and putting it out there that Matt is a douche cause he was rude to people,(Matt was never rude to anybody), at the concerts and that he is so Jealous of Adam and for Kris the which name Kissmonkey,(who hates him and wonders why no one ever says anything bad about Kris; don't know what she is smoking Kris has got plenty of hate from those people when his single came out), is saying Kris is a liar cause she said he said his single wasn't a cover and that because two girls gave him kisses on the cheek he is a douche and disgusting,(she was saying this in regards to kris being a bigger douche than Adam). Adam should not be being attacked but what the hell why bring two people who have nothing at all to do with any of this into the convo and bring stuff up from the tour and and stuff of months ago? People are mad that Adam spoke out in RS and that has nothing to do with Kris and Matt!! So freaking confused about all this crap.

I am so mad that I can't post on that board cause I would give the people dissing Adam and Kissmonkey a piece of my mind. She is such a freaking witch.

This post has to do with Amazon selecting SOME artist to give a awesome selling price to and pretty much leaving others to fend for themselves.

I am not mad at the artist who gets this awesome deal; I am mad at Amazon and whoever else lowered the CD price to an amazing low low price for a select view and decided not to do it for others. Amazon and other retailers are stupid if they don't think this type of thing is not going to be talked about and questioned,(I knew this was happening because people are talking about it; it is honestly a hot topic in some places on the internet). Anybody that gets these special sales prices is going to have the major upper hand on other artist. Yes it is huge competitive music world out there but it shouldn't be the retailers, Amazon and Itunes playing inky binky bottle of ink lets choose who to help this week type of game. Sorry if this angers people but I don't agree with this type of practice cause it is like playing favorites.

In Saying all that I am happy for Adam for getting that special sale; you see what his numbers are going to be next week and that is fantastic. Any help for selling a few extra's cd's then the 3.99 sale price is amazing!! I will never begrudge Adam or Bon Jovi or Rhianna or whoever else who got this deal. The deal was put out there for them and it is awesome for them.

I can be happy for people and still feel this is the totally wrong way of going about things..

There are always going to be super special deals the week of Black Friday. Yes, several CDs were marked down for a day. I missed out on that and was a bit annoyed. I missed the day Pink's was $3.99 and I would have bought that in a heartbeat if I had known. I debated getting Rhianna's - but didn't really care for any of her current songs I've heard so far so the low price didn't sway me.

FWIW - I have heard that Amazon sales are a very small part of any artist's overall sales. Just not the place most people get their music. iTunes sells way more of the downloads and most still get their physical CDs from the stores so no shipping charges. Usually you cannot get free shipping from Amazon on CDs unless you spend $25 - so it still is a better deal to get them from the store.

I guess I just don't think it's such a big deal. Sure it's really nice to have a CD you want on sale for only $4, but that's just not realistic. I know it could certainly help with sales and cause more people to buy it or buy more copies than they had originally intended. I just don't think it would make that much of an impact especially when it's just ONE site/place offering that low discount price.

I do understand your distress Angel. I know how badly you want Kris CD to succeed. I also know sales need to keep at steady pace but you need to give it a little time. You need to let things run their course and see what happens. I think the problem is you're so concentrated and scared of it doing poorly that you're letting that cloud everything else. You need to believe in it. You need to have faith. And you need to start showing that you do.

I believe in Kris and I believe in his cd. I do not believe in TPTB, 19entertainment, AI and most labels that are working with AI. Granted Kris is not with RCA the label that has been most drop happy of all the labels that sign AI artist. I have seen to many of the AI alums that I care about totally dropped or they got out of their contracts with the labels cause the labels did nothing for them,(Diana and Taylor both got out of their contracts before they could be dropped). All I have running through my head is visions of Kristy Lee Cook having her cd out it not doing well and RCA dropping her like a few months later cause of bad sales. Sorry if I can't be more up beat but 80,000 cd's sold in the first week for a Idol winner is getting noticed and it is being talked about. There is a new write up that is talking about Adam and Susan Boyle,(I thought it was only about Adam and Susan so that is why I read it, If I would of known it was another putting down Kris for his numbers I wouldn't of read it), and they just had to say that Both Adam and Susan are runner up's and had to rub it in that Kris's cd only sold 80,000 copies. All I see in places I go is haters and even Kris fans asking when will Jive Drop Kris since as the winner his cd did not do the job. I am praying that Jive will treat Kris as a new artist and not like the AI winner and give Kris's cd time to grow on people like his single has. It is a very slow start but Kris deserves to be there cause his cd is amazing.

ETA: in this economy I would say that 80,000 cd's is great for a first week but I am not the people that puts the AI alums under a totally different set of rules. AI people are supposed to sell more cause of a fan base from the show.

Exactly!!

If Jive proves to be different than the others then I will rest a lot easier, but as of right now I am very skeptical of any label that has to do with IDOL.

Hey - I think the $3.99 only works for people who are interested in the artist. They could put every rappers CDs on sale for one penny and I still wouldn't buy them. I think it mostly gets people who are on the fence about buying and that price pushes them over.

Shannon, Adam fans deal with WAY more haters! Trust me! Kris may get some hate comments simply because he was on Idol and many feel they need to hate all artists from Idol. But it least he doesn't get the "sick fag" comments.

You make a great point there FC. Both of them get hate. We know hate is hate no matter what form it comes in, but I imagine the kind Adam gets is worse than anything compared to Kris just for those certain "reasons" that shouldn't even be reasons at all. Both of them are going to have to work through it and just do as they do. I know they'll be alright. They have to be.

Adam is for sure getting that hate and that is wrong in every sense of the word but the Hate Kris is getting is from SOME Adam fans and just all around Idol fans that are having fits still that Kris won. It is not Kris's fault he won and people need to freaking get over it but they never will. Kris is getting attacked cause his fans and many asshats that discriminate voted for Kris to win. Kris's fans should of voted for him cause they love him. The people voting for anybody but Adam are cruel people who give a crap about nobody. The cruel people were never going to go out and buy Kris's cd so they didn't care if his sales suffer. Both Adam and Kris are being hurt in this

Kris and Adam are both good men and I hate seeing either hurt.
