FC, this board really doesn't need to be private. Just let it go and what will be, will be. Don't worry about it.

Yeah, I've pretty much given up on it. I can't find a way to do it anyway. I think that is something that is set-up when you first create the board. I've tried everything in the admin tools and it just isn't an option now.

I was on this kind of board and it was private..wish I could help, just in case you change your mind!!

If you are private you won't get any new members like Adrift. I love her she is fun. If people don't have anything better to do than "spy " on people let them do it. what a bunch of losers and OTT behavior. First amendment and all in this country.

IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT SOMEONE FROM THE CB WAS TAKING POSTS FROM HERE TO MODS AT THE CB (grow up people) I HAVE MADE THE MUSIC THREADS PRIVATE!!

Meaning only members who are logged in can see any threads in MUSIC.

So lurkers cannot even see that we have a MUSIC section - let alone read anything.

SO FEEL FREE TO SAY ANYTHING YOU WANT!!!

Now - a few people have registered put never signed in or posted. So now I am considering banning those people so that they cannot log in and read.

Do you think I should do that? I hate to just ban people randomly when I don't know who is doing this, but not sure there is any other way

A big thank you to Scruffy for her step by step instructions on how to make certain forums private since there didn't seem to be a way to make the board private.

It makes me sad to do this because we do have lurkers from many countries - not sure why but we do - who perhaps enjoyed our music thread. But what can you do when people behave this way?
