I actually have two email accounts and don't remember which one I used. It is possible though with one provider, however they don't allow me to view the mail they don't let through. Don't ask, it's been a problem with that provider and has made a lot of people unhappy.

You should PM me your phone number and I could call you with info if we lose the board any length of time and I have to set up some yahoo group.

FC none of the new posts are showing up for me. It is blank?!

I just noticed that! None of the posts from yesterday are here anymore!

I know several boards I go to had problems yesterday with pages loading or you couldn't get on at all!

The posts were showing up last night before I went to bed because I was posting in the Emmy thread and all the posts were here!

What a shame. I can't imagine there is any way to retrieve the posts

This is weird. Fraz's board, you could'nt post or open any thread.......I thought maybe she banned me!!

All the boards for this host (and that includes Wisened Women) were having problems yesterday and even completely down for awhile this morning. I am anticipating a bumpy day! There is a board to go to discuss problems with our boards - but that was down too!

Let's hope they have it all fixed now!

OK - I was finally able to access the forum for reporting problems with your boards.

There was (and still is sorta) a major problem last night when they were attempting some "back-up". We are lucky actually, many boards have lost their "skins" (the look and style) and their forums etc. We are one of the lucky ones who seem to have only lost the posts from Sunday.

Their techs are working on it all still. We seem to be OK right now. They don't know for sure, but they do not believe we will get the posts we lost back. When I know for sure that they won't come back then I will delete all the empty posts. Good thing we were pretty slow yesterday.

BUT! If we lost HL's "Double Chocolate Banana Bread" recipe we will KILL the techs!! Or, we will kindly ask HL to post it again!

So hang on tight and let's hope we are all fixed-up soon!

If something really major happens I will email all of you (Sky I'll call you) and see if I can set-up a temp Yahoo Group.

Yes. I have everyone's email. I just know there were problems where you didn't get the activation email. I'll email you first and if you get it just email me back that you got the info. If I don't hear from you I'll call about the Yahoo emergency board. I am hoping that is never needed though.

A lot of people are super upset about what happened last night and this morning because they have boards with HUGE informative posts where the info is stuff that requires long research. Those people are threatening to close their boards with this host and open others. They claim they have lost members.

I think for the most part the board runs pretty well. We were with Frazz board a long time without any major problems so I'm not going to look into changing hosts and starting a new board at this time.

It is annoying as heck that we lost all of yesterday's posts, but at least we are not a board where a lot of needed information was lost.

Well apparently people are still reporting

Banners / Backgrounds etc disappearing,
Chatboxes and Gallerys not right and have
any of you noticed that the Avatar Gallery
in your profile is not working ? You can't
change from one gallery to another - theres
no 'go' or 'ok' button.

One of my logos disappeared during the night
off one of my forums.

A lot of people are saying these problems are
a result of the recent 'upgrades' and are begging
support not to add any more !!

Yes, I've been reading at the forums complaint site about a ton of problems! No, I haven't wanted to change my avatar so I hadn't noticed. No biggie on that one though. I am just so glad we are not having some of the issues others are having. I can live without changing the avatars for awhile. Hopefully they will get things all worked out SOON! I wonder what the "special" compensation feature will be to make up for all the problems??!

Actually, what I'd love them to install is a
'tracker' so you can see where your visitors
are coming from. I actually got a new member
through one of these. I went to someones forum
while I was just browsing around - next thing I
knew - they'd tracked me and joined mine !
I got a surprise as I didn't know they had one
and couldn't figure out how they found me as
my forum wasn't even 'open' at the time and
had not been advertised anywhere. :)

I've tried installing one myself but can't get one
to work properly and don't understand the installing
instructions.

That is interesting! I never knew about tracking. I got a PM while in the complaint thread asking me to join a board. I wonder if they tracked me?

No they probably got your link from your
profile or something - I got a PM too and
I'll bet it was from the same person. Actually
it is against the support forum rules for anyone
to send PMs of that nature.

These trackers - the good ones anyway -
tell you how many visitors you've had over
a given period - where they came from -
which country they are in etc and I think
some even tell you which parts of your forum
they looked at and other stuff.

I'll get you a couple of links if you like and you
can have a look for yourself.
