I am not interested in an X-Factor being here. I don't care for those talent shows where anything goes. I couldn't get into this season's America's Got Talent at all. I want my excellent singing competition not some show full of magicians, drag queens, tap dancers and other things I couldn't possibly care less about.

Oh - my bad. I thought it was more than singing.

ETA: So what was the difference between Pop Idol and X-Factor?

Yes X-Factor is similar to Pop Idol. It's all singing. The only difference is the audition process is now half and half. It's a little like Pop Idol and a little lot Britain's Got Talent. Plus, X-Factor has categories. Girls, Boys, Over 25 and groups. And then those categories are assigned one of the four judges as their mentor. So it's kind of the same except not, The details are a little different, but the basic premise is the same.

Shayne Ward and Leona Lewis are two winners from Brittins X factor. I adore Shayne Ward; Leona not so much even though i like "Bleeding Love". I dislike her new song "Happy". There is some people out there saying that she and Adam are the two best singers in the world. Yes on Adam being totally amazing and for sure up there with the best singers in the world but ugh heck no on Leona. There are a lot of amazing women singers out there that put Leona to shame.

Sorry if anybody is a fan but she is not the best woman singer in the world!

Anyway back on topic: Shayne and Leona are the only two i know from X-Factor.

I meant that this new season, there are some good contestants! I'm loving Jamie "Afro" Archer. Daniel Pearce, Lucie Johns and Danyl ?(can't remember his last name). I do not like Leona..........ugh, no way is she the best female singer! Simon may think so, but she's not.

Did David Cook never release "Permanent" as a single for radio? I am asking cause that song is his best and should be up for a grammy. Such an amazing song and so inspiring. Ugh i love it and David just gives me chills when he sings it. None of his other songs have touched me the way "Permanent" did.

On that list i am sad to see my Georgie not in there for Gospel with Mandisa and Phil. His cd is awesome and just as good as Mandisa's new one.

Teddy thanks for bringing the list over!

Nope he never did release Permanent as a single to radio. It was only offered as a charity single on itunes and that's it. If you read in the comments some expressed their disappointment that song wasn't and possibly couldn't be included. So you're not the only one feeling that way.

I love Permanent. It's one of the best songs David does and it's also one of my top faves.

I'm sorry your George isn't one of the submitted suggestions for nomination. I was actually a little surprised he wasn't in there too.

Your welcome for the list Angel.

Yeah "Permanent" is just an amazing song and i am glad that people think what I do about it being up for a Grammy.

One of these days my Georgie will get noticed for something and if not he is living his dream and is happy!

Okay I am a bit tired so i think i am heading off to bed in just a bit.

Good night

Shannon

WOW - looks like anybody who was ever on Idol and recorded a song threw their hat in the ring!

I think the only ones that stand a chance are Carrie (for sure she will get some noms) Kelly, Jordin, maybe Ruben (he has gotten R&B noms before) Daughtry and a little maybe for the Davids. If Lady GaGa is in up for best new artist - anyone from Idol can just forget it.

Well I think in the country area for Collaboration Carrie/Randy Travis could go up against Vince Gill/Dolly Parton/Steve Martin's song "Pretty Flowers" and I tell ya if this this happens i want Pretty Flowers to win it. Vince and Dolly together are total killer on the song and Steve Martins banjo playing is off the hook. For and of the collaborations i saw on that list that are being looked at as possible nominees Pretty Flowers is the best with Carrie and Randy's song next.
