This Wednesdays paper had a write up about Cory attending the alternative school for Grade 11 and 12 but looks like he never graduated. He still kept in touch with some of his teachers and sent some photos that are in the main office.

I was watching Entertainment Tonight and they were talking of Cory and so many others who had passed away do to Heroin and then they were talking to celebs who art addicts but are clean and one of them is Aj Mclean from BSB. AJ has been in rehab three different times and he said he is fighting so hard to stay clean and he said he is fighting harder now since he has a wife and daughter now. He said if you let it the addiction will eat you alive you have to do all you can stay in charge of it and not let it win. Nick Carter has also had troubles with drugs and alcohol and as we know his sister OD. I think her dying is one thing that is helping Nick stay clean the rest of the BSB guys are fighting hard to help Nick and AJ stay clean.

I often worry for both Nick and AJ but AJ especially as he has struggled tremendously. Every single day is a battle. Yes I've been reading a lot about Vancouver and how Cory's problems were much worse than realized. It's easy to say he shouldn't have gone up there alone but his using would have happened anyway. Although, the outcome could certainly have been different. An addict like someone as Cory needs to stay away from the people and places that helped fuel and feed the addiction. They've got to change everything in their lives. It's such a scary and dangerous world.
I just read reseNtments apparently Jane appeared on The Tonight Show. I'll have to find video later.

My heart just breaks for all of them.......and their families. They struggle every day and we worry every single day. I pray for all of them.

On the news last night there was a report of a very lethal heroin mix on the streets of BC but they said it appears that wasn't the combo Cory had taken. It is a mix of heroin and another narcotic that is causing a lot of OD's. http://www.castanet.net/news/Kelowna/93205/Deadly-drug-hits-the-streets

Were did he graduate from? The article is from the Sooke School District 62 Principal of the alternative school Western Opportunity Network which he seemed to thrive. He said Cory was there for Grade 11 and Grade 12 but never graduated. He had been kicked out of Spectrum Community High School before that.

I am heartbroken for her and I know she is devastated beyond belief, but marriage to an addict would have had some real struggles....

That was a sweet interview. I just watched A Star Is Born with James Mason and Judy Garland awhile back. It does show a bit of what it is like to be married to an addict. They try and try and say "Never again will I take a drink". Then something happens and that one last drink leads to another and another. It is so sad that it happens so much.

Exactly....
Lea is very young. I am sure she will find love again at some point and I hope it is with someone very stable and they have a peaceful and joyous life together. She can't see it now, but it will happen for her someday. When she is ready. She will always love Cory, but her life will go on and it will get better for her.

I just watched the full interview Jane did with Leno. I truly commend her. Jane is such a strong woman to have been there and kept her appearance. Her words about Cory were beautiful. I just wanted to wrap her in my arms and hug her tight. You could feel the quiver in her voice as she became emotional. It brought me to tears all over again.
