| I'm so sticking happy for Leyva and his bronze medal!! The moment I saw him a few years ago he became my instant favorite guy! He sure had to fight for that bronze today too from what I've read.
Yep, those disqualifications today were big news. It's unbelievable they would do that. I guess the thinking behind it was if they lost they'd reach pool play where they would then challenge "weaker" teams. I'm so glad they were caught. Such a shame for their countries though.
Congrats to Troy Dumais and Kristian Ipsen of the US for winning bronze in the Men's Synchronised 3m Springboard.
For the very first time Misty and Keri dropped a set in the Olympics. I feared it had to happen sometime, but those two should be very proud of how long that streak went for! Dropped set aside I'm just super glad they rallied back to win the match in the 2nd and 3rd sets!

| Okay, I'm a bit disappointed in the coverage of the Men's All-Around competition in tonight's primetime edition. They barely showed any of it. I consider myself lucky to have just seen the end when Leyva did his high bar and captured the bronze!
So did anyone see/hear about Serana losing her match today therefore being eliminated?

| She mustn't have lost because she's playing right now!
I think the US networks tend to focus mainly on the US athletes so a lot doesn't get shown........and the men's gymnastics was dominated by the Japanese so unfortunately they wouldn't show that.......which would be a shame considering he was so awesome.

| Yeah, I figure that's the reason behind it. Such a shame.
I think the story will be different tonight though.............
What a crazy win Jen Kessy and April Ross just had in their match against the Spanish for Beach Volleyball.

| We're going to have to chat about picking you up at the airport. We can do that over the weekend. Gee I left right after Michael Phelps swam the 100m and I come home to them repeating it. | |

| Yep.........I meant to mention a very nice story I heard today about Ryan Lochte. One of our young Canadian swimmers contacted Ryan and his coach to see if he could go train with Ryan. Not only did they agree to do it, Ryan offered the spare room at his family home for the young man to stay in while he was there. I thought that was so awesome! | |

| Okay so it was easy to have said earlier that I thought Aly should have gotten the bronze. Now after having watched it all unfold I can strongly and fiercely say that YES Aly should have gotten the bronze. She performed that floor just as solidly tonight to match the one she did a couple nights ago in the team competition. Those judges scoring her lower makes no freaking sense at all and I'm sorry but screw their rule to do a tie break. There should have been NO TIE in the first place. If they had to be tied though than they both should have gotten the bronze. I am severely annoyed. | |

| Yes it does. That's why they perform the routines, run the races and play the games.

| What a match, the old man prevailed in that marathon, five years his senior and was able to pull that win.
Roger is the best tennis player ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| I'll be sure to keep that in mind! Quite honestly I don't care for Hope Solo on the US team. I certainly didn't care for her before either, but with all the latest news I've heard it's such a huge turn off. | |
