But I am not a basketball fan and I guess I cannot relate to missing it for a few days It isn't just the Grammys weekend. They started the road trip on February 5th because of all the stuff that was going on at Staple center even before the grammy weekend and show tomorrow and after the Grammy's are over they will begin the events for ALL Star Weekend. The game is being played at Staple Center so there will be a lot of events going on during the week and then the All star game will be Saturday or Sunday. The teams always get dislodged for the Grammy weeks and if the Figure Skating has Nationals or Worlds at the the venue. The other team that gets dislodged is the LA Kings,(Hockey. They are most likely on the road right now to). I understand what you are saying though when you aren't into that sport it makes it easier to not miss things. ETA: Also I just feel bad for the teams. I am not even a Clippers fan but oy 11 games on the road is truly tough. They get the long road trip cause they haven't had any real long ones yet. San Antonio get uprooted every year from their venue for like 8 or 9 games cause a rodeo is placed in their venue every year. They have given names for LA Road trips and San Antonios. The Lakers/Clippers road trip is called the Grammy's road trip and San Antonio's is the Rodeo Trip. When the schedules come out for the teams those are what is written down for the teams. I have been told Staple Center makes a lot of Money from all this and they get to use the money how they want which in turn has made it so they could put up the awesome statues of players and of announcer Chic Hearns. | Sounds like they need another venue! One for all the special events. I don't think it is as big a problem in other cities as L.A. and say NYC. Not as many events probably. Yeah CC. I closed my window of it a few mins. ago. They really famous nominees have probably left the building for Clive's and these folks no one ever heard of and who have probably not been invited to Clive's are stuck with Andrew I hope these medallions have their names on them and their categories. Hope they were not just sitting on the table like those little gifts at weddings

I hope these medallions have their names on them and their categories. Hope they were not just sitting on the table like those little gifts at weddings My brother told me the reason Staple center is used so much for these things is because it holds so many people. For sporting events it is also used cause it has the ice,(figure Skating and Hockey), and stuff like that but for things like the Grammys they want as much room as possible. Madison Square Garden gets used a lot for events but I honestly have not heard of the New York Knicks being Dislodged for really long periods of time. ETA: In LA the other place that is being used big time for the All Star events is the Great Western Forum which is where the Lakers played before the Staple Center was built. ******************** FC I would hope their names and what they are voted for would be on there other wise it wouldn't be as special.Shannon

| Indeed. But dang there are hundreds of nominees and they are all walking out holding the little Tiffany box so I feared what if they were just sitting on their plates at the table! Maybe Adam will say something about his or maybe we can see one. I don't follow the Bulls anymore so I have no clue if they get dislodged for a lot of events. I'll have to ask Rob. I wonder if the Hawks and Bulls play at the same place? I kinda think they do. | |

Yes the Hawks and the Bulls play at the same venue. My brother just let me know that the Orlando Magic gets uprooted from their venue every year for an event also. ********** I hope Adam will talk about his medallion. I hope they were actually handed the medallion during a little ceremony. Hey did you guys read this: ************ The Do’s And Dont’s Of Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala From Davis And Jennifer Hudson And you’d better be a music fan if you want to be invited back, Davis says. “I am hands on when it comes to those that come, I want true music lovers,” he says. “I don’t want people there looking for jobs, I don’t want people there just to schmooze or to talk. I pretty much and ask for, and get, respect for the artists on stage and real passion for the music that they hear. So you see it, and they don’t get invited again if they really are there for other purposes other than that. So through attrition, through the refining, through an eclectic mix we are able to have a spectacular audience with the common denominator being the love of music.” Jennifer Hudson, who’s been there as both a performer and fan, has a clear memory of her fandom moment at the gala. “The thing that comes to my mind is getting to see Whitney perform. I remember standing at the tip of the stage watching her on the stage,” Hudson tells Popeater. *********** So I guess be careful about schmoozing too much at Clive's party or you won't be invited back. I totally get what Clive is saying and actually agree with what he is saying. Shannon

| I don't know what it was from (maybe the E red carpet) but I was reading my twitter feed on the way home from dinner and someone by the name of Michael Yo said Adam was not an A-Lister so he wasn't invited to Clive's event. Needless to say many fans got all woop ass on him and told him that Adam attended last year and that he was nominated this year. The guy was totally trying to backtrack what he said after that. | |

| And who the hell is Michael Yo? He best watch out who he calls "not an A Lister" when I don't think anyone knows who the hell he is I would guess anyone who sold well for the label and got a nomination would be considered worthy of an invite - at least the year they are nominated. I get what Clive is saying. I don't think you could find anyone who loves music more and respects various artists more than Adam! | |

Yep Adam and Kris were both invited to the party and that was the night that Kara kept getting in the pictures of Kris and Adam and ruining a Kradam picture opt cause she was always in the center of the two. I was so sad. I do not see a reason why Adam would of not been invited this year. I believe Crystal and her husband may be going to the party also and they will be at the Grammy's tomorrow. I have not heard if Lee was going to either. ETA: the guy who said that of Adam is just rude. Shannon

| I am cracking up right now. Many people keep tweeting Adam about how Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl) is at the party tonight and telling him to GO GET HIM.
Does anyone know if they're actually going to show the party itself? The performers etc? I know I've watched it in the past online but I don't know if they're going to do that this year too.

But I think Bruno Mars will win... Aw but we didn't expect him to even get a nomination! I'm thrilled for him either way but I'm remaining optimistic for him. Chace Crawford? Have these people not figured out yet that Adam is with Sauli after the 'special person in Paris and it was very romantic' interview response?
