Capitol 4th 2011

I know some people may not of got to see this tonight cause of having to work,(Teddy), so I was able to find most of the performances on Youtube that some people were kind enough to put up.

So excited for all who got invited to perform. This was a first time for each of them. What a huge honor :)

ETA: it rained for their dress rehearsal so there was nobody there when they rehearsed so it was huge when they performed today to such a packed audience.

Matthew Morrison: Still Got Tonight and Tonight with Kellie O'hara,(song from West Side Story), some idiot left a comment on the video saying Still Got Tonight is inappropriate for young kids to here Umm there is not one thing inappropriate about the song and nothing inappropriate about him singing it at this show. I wonder what the lady is thinking the song is about to find it so bad. I wonder what Kris and the other writers would think of this lady's comment about their song.

Jordin Sparks: Beauty and the Beast: Jordin looks amazing :) Mark and Chelsie are dancing Mark looking as handsome as ever and Chelsie looks beautiful,(they both looked exhausted after the performance though. I know it is hot and humid there so maybe that dance took a lot out of them).

Angel, thank you so much for this. I actually looked on the listings last night to see when it would be on so I could try to record and I didn't see it anywhere. It had to have been on here, but I just don't know when. Having these videos here really helps. I appreciate it!

Your welcome. I didn't get to see it on tv cause my parents are watching other stuff so I had to go check to see if they were up and luckily they were I couldn't miss Matthew or Josh.

Loved Matthew and Jordin with Chelsie and Mark dancing. I wish they had showed more of the two of them though. I didn't get nearly enough of them dancing. Josh was awesome too. What a fabulous show they put on this year!

It for sure was a fab show and everybody was outstanding. I think the best performance of the evening and the ultimate most touching one was Josh's "War At Home". I can't stop watching it. As I said above he totally deserved that standing ovation. Josh thank you for writing such an amazing song for the troops!
