I think it is important not to panic. I know they suspect some cases in our state too, but they have not been confirmed yet, so I doubt the ones suspected in your town are 100% confirmed by the CDC yet either.

I think it is important to remember to wash/sanitize your hands after touching things in public restrooms and in heavy people traffic areas, get to a doctor fast if you have severe flu symptoms, and try to do things all the time to keep your immune system up like regular excercise, stress management, healthy lifestyle etc.

I decided to start a thread on the Swine Flu because it is such a hot topic. I thought it would be good to share info here.

I am stressed because there are cases in the next town over. Eric and I were suppose to go to a Medical center there tomorrow for his ultra sound. We decided to cancel it due to the reported cases in the town. They have closed two schools. The doctor had told Eric he was 95% sure the lump was nothing to worry about and even though I wanted the ultra-sound to be 100% sure - I did not want to risk either of us getting sick from being at that medical center to get a test done.

It's pretty scary having it so close. The older brother and sister of the baby I watch go to an all day pre-school in Aurora and their parents fear about it closing also. I told them no problem as I could watch the twins. So they feel good about that. Just another reason I didn't want to risk getting sick as I am needed!

Eric and Justin both have friends that live in Aurora and one of Eric's friends felt really sick today and went to the doctor. They do not think that he has the Swine Flu at this point. Eric was with him last night so we are praying that Matt is fine come tomorrow.

They also had to close a school in Batavia which is 15 mins. from us. I am in Batavia every now and then.

SO what a day this has been!
