| Rats/mice freak me out worth than birds. We have had trouble recently with field mice getting into the house somehow and a big male one ran accross the carpet one afternoon when I was on the computer. I literally started screaming and crying. It was a small mouse, but had a really long tail...just gross! I think we have finally closed up any access they had through vents or through the walls or whatever. We have'nt had any recent sightings anyway... |

| When I was growing up, we had a furnished basement that was kind of like the family room. We had the television down there, plus a bar and an eating area where we used to have dinner during the summer since that's the only place we had air conditioning besides my parents' bedroom. There also was a bedroom area with a big double bed where guests would stay or if either my sister and I had a friend sleep over, that's where we would sleep. Also, on weekends or school holidays, either me or my sister or both of us would sleep there. I remember my sister and I watched the movie "The Birds" one night. The next morning, when we got up, we noticed a kind of weird rustling noise. Sure enough, there was a bird in the house; I think it was a starling. Anyway, we screamed like fools and my sister threw a stuffed cat at it. And then of course, our dog had to go get the stuffed cat and bring it back on the bed and play with it! LOL! Some new movie news of sorts: Ricky Gervais will be hosting the Golden Globes this year. |

OMG, HL, I am with you on this one. While I freak out at birds and cringe at a snake.....mice and rats are my worst, absolute worse fear/phobia. Quite a few years ago, I caught a glimpse of one in the LR. I raced out of there told hubby, of course he didn't believe me..........until he saw it. The chase that followed had to have looked hilarious. We didn't find him that night, but the next morning downstairs in the laundry room it somehow fell into a 5 gallon bucket and couldn't get out. The bucket went outside, lid on and it happened to have been a weekend we had a business trip out of town. It didn't survive our absence. Now, I feel like a prisoner in my house because the darn neighbor cats seem to be good hunters and I've found a few out in the gardens............eeeeeewwwww, one even on the patio. Thank god for hubby. We aren't far from a wooded area, but I know they are everywhere. I'm really good or maybe I should say paranoid about spotting them after the cats have left them. Going outside used to be fun. Thank goodness none in the house because I wouldn't sleep. |

| I saw 'PARANORMAL ACTIVITY' today!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, it was good. Really good. I'd like to see it again. Scary, yes but in a more startling way. Sure makes you think. Anyone else seen it or plan to see it? |

| Maybe I will rent it! I am always up for things that imply there are really spirits among us. I would so love to think my dad is out there somewhere in some form. I have had several extremely vivid dreams of my father coming to talk to me since he passed away. I had one last night that was so real and I woke up freezing. It was really something. Now of course I could just be having the dreams because I think about my Dad every day. I do know that. _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." | I was sure it wasn't friendly I know it is a scary movie. I just mean when I watch stuff that has things about people sensing a presence around them etc. _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag. |

I am planning on seeing it now that you have recommended it. I was waiting to hear from someone I know whether it was good or not before I decided.
I really like scary flicks that make you think! |
