Here is a shot of the little crown I made. I had a heck of a time getting it to show up in photos with the dark background, but maybe you can get an idea. I had fun making it, it even has a little beaded heart on the top. This photo was an outtake from the shots I took for my Halloween shoot I did today.

Oh it looks awesome!! You will have to get some better shots of it and tell me how you made it!!

She is just too cute for words!!! I imagine you are thrilled beyond belief with her!!

BTW - Didi just ordered a Yellow Lati! She is up to at least 25 dolls now!! I love the Lati dolls - but soooo much money for something so very tiny! She is the same size as my Ehren and costs sooooo much more!

Oh crap, just lost my post! Thanks about the girl and the crown! I am thrilled with her and so glad she arrived by Halloween. Here is my latest photoshoot post from Doa:

Here is what I used to make the crown:

I had to scale it down to doll size though, since it is in human scale. It was fun and I will definitely make another one!

Those instructions are so good for the crown! Maybe some day I will make one too!

Those pix at DOA are just awesome!!

Thanks! I am stunned! One of the mods at Doa actually commented on my shoot! That is a first! It is very cool my girl came before Halloween...She is so goth, she fits in perfectly with my group of dark misfits!LOL!

I am now officially addicted to Pipos dolls. I need to sell a few things to order my basic ron from Pipos since DDE is out of them. I want to wait a bit though, just in case they have a Christmas promotion. I wonder when they usually have theirs?

The crown was amazingly easy to make. I am a dork when it comes to jewlery, but i am thinking I like it and it is fun. i bought a set of small cutters and benders and a little magnifyer that really isn't that helpful. My new bifocal contacts are what really helps with the close-in work. I really like them.

I did'nt think I would like them at first, but I am totally sold now. You can't tell they are any different than regular ones after you get use to them. You can just see up close better. You have to sacrifice a little on distance vision, but they have you experiment with different prescriptions until they find the right one for you.

Cool! They said I didn't need bifocals - but I can't read tiny letters with my contacts in and I take my glasses off to read when I have them on. They told me to wear just one contact and that would help - but I found that annoying as hell!

You have'nt tried readers yet? I found I was using mine more and more and it started really bugging me. I may as well have started to wear glasses. Now I hardly use them at all.

No readers. I see and read just perfect without anything - glasses or contacts. When I wear either for distance than reading is an issue because I don't need anything to read. Make sense?

I guess I am confused then. I thought you were having trouble reading tiny letters. That is what readers and bifocals are for, helping to read small print.

The problem is the glasses and contacts I have (got them a little over a year ago) are for seeing further away. I have no trouble reading or seeing tiny letters. So the glasses and contacts that help me see far away blur the things up close. The doctor said it would be better for me to just take off the glasses to read rather than adjusting to bifocals. That part is fine. But when I wear the contacts to the store and want to read the tiny print on labels it doesn't make sense to pop out the contacts! I just thought maybe the contacts you have might work in that case.

They work for me like that, but does'nt sound like they would for you if your optometrist has'nt offered them to you. I use to only need contacts for distance vision until I started getting old eyes! I have been wearing contacts for driving and seeing TV/movies for years.

Lelei modelling her Vintage Christmas outfit: There is a discoloration stain on the front of the jacket, but I don't think it is all that noticeable. I am very pleased with the fit and the price! I can't believe I found something this cute for her. The hat is cute also, but I left it off for these photos.
