Thanks!! I just love her too! I did love her the second I saw her, but I thought she was so big whatever will I do with her? Than I thought about how I could make her a part of the Christmas display and I just knew I was meant to keep her for my elves!!

It just so happens that last year one of my moms gave me some really nice candles, dip bowls and spreads and this little Xmas napkin/cloth. I never used the cloth and I got the idea from some images of Christmas horses that I Googled to use it for the blanket. I have those little garland things that I used for the reins in bowls around the rooms. That one happens to be snowflakes which I thought was perfect. I had a few bows and viola - Christmas horse!

Yes, she has hair! So soft and pretty too!

Yes, the flute and the display and taking some pix did take my mind off those poor boys and their families - if only for just a little while, it was good to have the distraction.

Speaking of the Elf dolls - a poster at DOA get her Mei yesterday and said she is even more beautiful in person than pix - so I am so excited to get her!! My plan is to display her sitting on Snowmane with Shea standing next to them! I think it will look gorgeous!

Glad the doll therapy is working during this stressful time for you.

I know you are so going to love Mei. She is so fine boned and lovely. I also like the elf girl Junky spot has that looks like Mei, but has bigger ears. I forget her name now.

I love your idea of how you are going to display the Shea and Maurelle with Snowmane! It will be so awesome.

My hubby did a photoshoot of Mo for me today while I was at work. I think he felt sorry for me that I worked so hard yesterday and did'nt get any good shots. He got some very interesting ones. Who knows, I may have to enter one of those in the DOA contest instead of the first one of Esme...

Well, will go look at them all again and see what you and Sky think...

Her name is Ju and I love her! I have been looking at pix of her. She was in stock in normal with face-up at DDE when I put the deposit on a Mei. I was soooo tempted to go with Ju because I could have gotten her right away!! BUT, since the next elf doll is a birthday present than I really wasn't suppose to buy one in stock and get her so soon Razz But Ju is going to be on my list of future dolls I want. She is very unique! If they come up with another elf boy to be her mate that would be awesome! You cannot beat them for the price let me tell you!

Thanks! I really think Shea, Maurelle and Snowmane will look wonderful together! I still cannot believe I got Snowmane for a total of $20! Of course Justin came home this afternoon after being out with friends and saw the big horse on the table in my office along with an elf with a new flute in hand and said "OK, I think maybe you have gone a wee bit to far now" Laughing HA! If only he knew how much farther I wish I could take it! Twisted Evil Oh I know - I should get the baby elf and make them a whole family with their horse and see his reaction then! Razz I bet I get one of these Rolling Eyes

Yes, the dolls have helped. I also got all the cards done and Rob took them to the post office. Rob and I put the outside lights on the bushes today too. It all helps. But then one of Justin's friends came by to give us all the info on the wakes and funerals. They are closing down the HS for Monday and Tuesday so that the kids and staff can attend.

There is a candle remembrance service tomorrow at 7:30 PM at the Methodist Church here in Sugar Grove. Justin would rather go to that then the wakes. He thinks that is going to be too hard. So between the Prayer Service that was held on Thursday night and the candle service tomorrow night I think he will feel he got to pay his respect without actually seeing the caskets. They are going to be closed caskets because the plastic surgeons said that the boys could not be reconstructed for open caskets. Something tells me they hit that tree at a pretty high speed.

While I was working on the cards Rob took Justin to the tree where the accident happened as kids are leaving crosses etc. at the spot. Very sad.

That was sooooo incredibly sweet of your hubby to take shots for you!!! What a doll! (pun intended Laughing ) I cannot wait to hear how the pix turned out!!

Someone else at DOA got a Luna. I think her face-up is lovely! I even posted so! I am up to 7 posts! Soon I will be able to go in the super secret threads! Laughing

Anyway, I think with the proper face-ups this doll could be really nice to have. I love the sweet and innocent look on this one. If I knew how to do face-up I might consider getting her just to have a doll this size for a reasonable price.

I'll do the face up for you if you send me the head. I would love the challenge of making this doll into something extraordinary.

HA! Like I know how to take off a head! Laughing But I tell you what, if and when I can get her (my BDay money is spent on Maurelle) I will learn how to remove the head and take you up on your offer!! That would be so fun!!

Now, if you could give her a better boob job that would be great! Razz

Boob reductions are definitely out of my league!!!

Since you like the face-up of my new head, I could try and do something like that since I will have the perfect model for it right in front of me. You can tell me what colors you like or if you want me to do it like that one gal did...I know I can pull that off. That is a relatively easy face-up. I can make the blush more even than that. It looks a little splotchy in that photo.

When you buy the doll you can ask them to send it with the head off and have them give you instructions on how to put it back on, or just ask them to give instructions on how to take it off when you get it.

Great! That is indeed something to look forward too!

I will be sure to ask about sending the doll with her head off. Gee, that sounds terrible doesn't it Shocked Razz

Yes, I think with those lips and eyes the more innocent look works better. I noticed that about the blush, but heck - she did better than I could do I am sure!

I do like the old world, meloncholy style of the face-up for the sculpt. That works so much better than that harsh, goth look did. The eyes kind of slope downwards which is really interesting and does work well with more innocent make-up and expression.

Sadly, I see that the Bobobie site says that Luna is a Christmas doll so I do not think she will be around for long. Perhaps if she is popular enough they will make more of her or more dolls in that size. I simply will not have the $125 plus shipping at this time.

There will be some that show up for sale down the road, I'm sure. Or maybe they will come up with a 50 cm line if the interest is there and have one that is even better than Luna. Things happen for a reason it seems sometimes...

DDE shipped the wig cap and eyelashes I ordered. They finally got a size 6 wig cap in. I thought it would be good to have one for Shea and Maurelle. I wanted to get Maurelle the same lashes I got Shea since they were so perfect!

There is a dress on ebay called "Forrest Queen" dress that is a really nice price and I think could work for Maurelle. I just do not know if a regular MSD size will be OK or if she is going to need the slim MSD size. I guess I should just wait until I see her and try on the GG clothes vs. Saran's clothes.

Oh, I will go check them out!!

ETA: You know, they are nice - but none of them really grabbed me and yelled "got to have" like Song and Mei did. They look quite young don't they? Reiko's stock is very nice and she is both interesting and kind of creepy all at the same time.

I would think Mei definitely will need the slim MSD size and possibly even super slim! I have seen the doll nude and she looks like a twig! Much slimmer than Dollzone or even MNF. Good idea to wait.

I also thought Reiko was cool, but not enough to buy him. I tend to go for creepy/goth so- figures he would stand out to me. The others are cute, but are very child like. Interesting they are going even more that way. I guess they have new double jointed bodies too.
