Well, it the bumper, trunk and more. Justin and I are talking right now and he thinks he would rather it be considered totaled take what they give us and get a different car. He has saved a few hundred since he got his job and is willing to put that toward a car that hasn't had an accident. He has things in the trunk but you can't open it. I think he can get at the stuff though. Yes, we should know something this afternoon if they give quotes the same day. We are having a very nice day! We have a warm and sunny weekend predicted. _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag.

He has mixed emotions. Mostly he wishes it just didn't happen. I guess he is not sure what to wish for right now. The car he loved fixed - or a different car. I guess he is worried it won't really be the same - yet he knows how lucky we were to get that car for that price. I am just not finding any on line with the low millage that that car had for the price. _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag.

We paid $1850 for it - so I would call that totaled with a capital T! The good thing is the insurance won't take the car because of it's age - so we would get the check plus we keep the car and there are two people who want it - one being the guy that did the estimate!!! He wants the motor for his daughter's car. Justin has a friend who will buy it for $500. Justin is on the phone with the insurance company now. Looks like this will be a long process. Claims filed, guys coming out to look at the car and the estimate, blah, blah and more blah _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag.

Well, now you can start moving forward with it anyway. I am glad you will be able to get something out of the wrecked vehicle. I wonder if that guy's insurance will pay for a rental car? That would be nice... I am curious what the person was driving that hit him.. I am guessing a truck!

Yep - a truck! His first name is Jeter. I'm guessing he was one of the old farm guys in Elburn. Justin's car drives just fine. Weirdly - the back lights still work even though the wires are hanging out and the light cover is all broken on one side. That is why one of the young guys Justin works with is willing to give him some money for it. It may look like crap from behind but it drives just fine. So no need for a rental at this point. _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag.

That is amazing it still drives fine and the rear lights still work. How are you going to determine a fair price on it to sell it? Well, Dee sent me yet another head to do for her. It is a resinsoul/Bobbobie boy elf tiny. Of course she wants freckles and a leaf tatoo on the face. I agreed to do it, so will start on him today. Looks like it is going to be a nice day for a ride though... I may have gotten lucky! TTYL! Have a nice day!

UGH! Very busy day! Started out with running errands with mom. Then came home and Eric and I went to the North Aurora Auto Mall where we got Justin's darling little car - and everything was too expensive there. He had to be home at 4:30 for work - so we couldn't go anywhere else. Rob and I will be leaving tomorrow at 10:30 AM to go to Orland Park for a family party. I don't think we will be home in time to go further out where there are several used car lots. Maybe - we will have to wait and see. If not we won't be free to go looking for cars until next Saturday. Oh well - what can you do? We really can't skip this party tomorrow. It's a big baby shower and us ladies will be at a really nice restaurant for it and all the hubbies will be at my cousin Ralph's house. It will be fun! It's a baby girl and mom and I bought lots of super cute stuff today!!! So I won't be around tomorrow. We had gorgeous weather today too! 62 and Tomorrow will be upper 60s and sunny so a lovely day to be out with family and friends! Hope you enjoyed your ride! _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag.

I did! It was in the mid 50's and partly sunny. My mare Vena is such a good trail horse now. She is 9 going on 10, and doing so well. She loves to go now just as much as my old gelding does. It is hard to choose sometimes which one I will take. The car search may take a while in that price range, as you well know. At least he can still drive his wrecked one. Will you look in the paper too for sales with private owners? I know you would need to take it to a mechanic which is an additional step, but sometimes there are some good deals from private owners out there. Have fun tomorrow! I don't do baby showers... I'm sure you understand why...

| Well, we are looking for Eric right now - you know, the one who made the bad trade for the car with the transmission problem. He has been using my car for work for two weeks now and I don't like it Justin will be driving his until he gets his check from the insurance company. I know that will probably be a few weeks at least. Yes, I will certainly look into private sales also. Sorry, hope my talk of baby showers didn't bum you out I personally love them, but then I'm pretty much all about the kids and babies _________________ "You can kinda just be. | No, baby showers don't bum me out~ I am long over that phase- thank god! I just am uncomfortable at them because I don't fit in and I choose not to try. Luckily, I am far away from the family that would be inviting me to all of them. I would go broke trying to buy all the generations of gals in my husband's family gifts that are having kids right now. It got really old when people I work with have a baby shower for each child they have-regardless of how many that happens to be. I am fair to all and just don't believe in buying people that I am not closely involved with gifts. Another good reason why I avoid them! Eric better not get too comfortable driving your rig! He sure has a nice mom to let him do that, I hope he appreciates you. I'm sure he does right about now! |

| I am soooo against having showers after the first baby. That is just not right. Most good friends and family members bring something for the new baby when they come to visit anyway and you should have most of the important stuff already from the first one. It was the baby shower to end all baby showers and went on forever!!!! My cousin Lynn (Justin's Godmother) and I left after 4 and 1/2 hours and it was still going! It was at a really nice fancy place and I swear you'd have thought you were at a wedding for all the fancy food (prime rib, chicken dishes and seafood to name a few items) and fancy desserts etc. We were there for 3 hours before she even started opening the 200 gifts!!! I swear there isn't anything she didn't get and she was still opening when we left! She comes from a large wealthy family. This is my cousin Bobby's son and his wife having the baby. When we left she had easily gotten 100 outfits!! I tell you it was insane!!! Lynn, Donna and I were talking about the good ole days of our baby showers where everyone was at Aunties or Grandma's house and everybody brought a dish and a dessert and we sat on the floor and had fun! Lately everything has to be so formal. Dress up, fancy places, the placed decked out to the nines and we just sit at our fancy tables. It was very nice - but for me it didn't feel like a baby shower. It was so formal. But Lynn, Donna and I had a lot of laughs at the table and the food was excellent and LOTS OF IT!! Anyway, we got home way too late to take Eric to that one dealership we wanted to go to. Looks like we won't be getting him a car until at least next Saturday Well, I know he loves me and he thanks me a lot. _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." | Wow, That does sound like a baby shower fit for the rich and famous! At least they fed everyone really well and you got to visit with family. Hey, look at this adorable El as a girl! |
