| How exciting about Justin's college plans! It sounds like you will be moving forward with trying to get the ball rolling on figuring out the loan deals. I have friend's that have been through it and it appears they have to co-sign or something, but the loan is in the kid's name and when they finish school, they are responsible for paying it off. What a shame that the car Eric traded turned out to be a lemon. That is the one he traded with a friend was'nt it? Did he have it looked at by a mechanic before he traded? Well, at least if you have to start selling dolls to put your kid through college, you have some desireble ones now that should bring a good price. |

| Thanks for that info! I was wondering if the "student loan" would be in the student's name etc. Good to know! Yes, it is the car Eric traded and NO he didn't get it looked at by a mechanic because he said the kid takes care of cars etc. and did the trade in a big hurry. Trust me - he is sooooooooo sorry now. Poor kid actually cried. He feels terrible about all of it. Well guess what happened two hours ago!!! Some old guy hit Justin's car!! I don't know all the details yet. He is on the farm roads in my mom's town and all I know is some old guy hit him and the cops were called. He is fine - but the back of his car smashed in. It is drivable though. | You have definitely had more than your share of car issues and expenses that is for sure! Maybe that is the norm when you have teenagers and young adults in the house though. I bet you are so ready to not have to deal with insurance crap, car repairs, tickets, or buying used cars for a while! What a relief that no one was hurt. That is the most important thing. I hope Justin isn't too shook up... |

| Yes, it is a relief nobody was hurt. He isn't shook up, but he is sad to see his car like that. We all were so thrilled to find him such a great little car and he really loves it. You know, it was last November around this time he slid into that guy in the same town! Too bad my mom lives there - or I would tell him to stay out of Elburn!! I suppose it is the norm having teen boys/young adults. My MIL told me that they bought both Rob and his bro cars of their own when they were 18 and both boys totaled their cars within a year of having them Maybe it's best to just have pets! Hope you have a great day! It's Friday for you! _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag. |

| OH CRAP!! In the light of day the damage is BAD!!! Both of the dads who brought their babies here say the damage would cost way more to fix than the value of the car!!! They say they would probably just cut him a check and it probably wouldn't be for the full amount we paid son of a bitch! Why did this have to happen to his darling little car..... _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag. |

| That is awful my lady. So you expect the car will be totaled and he will not get what he paid for it?...I hope you guys don't owe anything on it. That would make it even worse... |

| Thank God it was'nt his fault or his insurance would have gone through the roof I bet. Maybe there is hope it can be fixed, but despite the loss, it may be better if it is totaled. If he ever tries to sell it or trade it in, the damage and repairs will show in carfax and could make it difficult to resell. |

| Well, I am hoping they fix it because I know they will not give us what we paid for it and we will not be able to get him as nice a car with what they will give us and we cannot afford to add $700 to what they give us so we can get him as nice a car again and THAT just stinks since it wasn't his fault!! People who get hit through no fault of their own should NOT be out money! Insurance companies suck! I am not worried about resale as the plan was certainly for him to keep the car until it died anyway It was a damn nice car and still didn't even have 100,000 miles on it. With the price they would give us we would never find a car for him that didn't have way more miles on it. I am just beside myself that this happened - and right after Eric's car deal and Rob having to put $1000 into his van. Hope you have a nice day off! _________________ "You can kinda just be. | What all is damaged on the car? Just the bumper and part of the trunk, or more? I guess you will hear the verdict soon enough... It is supposed to rain this afternoon, but is nice now. I have tons of house cleaning and errand running to do today. I am trying to get motivated. |
