| Don't know if anyone else is excited about the Olympics, but I am! I especially enjoy following the swimming, gymnastics, equestrian events, and diving. The dressage competition starts today at 3:30 Pacific...I will be watching! Don't know if anyone watches Project Runway and watched it last week, but the designer that won designed an outfit for the US Olympic team and the women were supposed to wear it for the openning ceremony...or at least that was my understanding. They did'nt...what was up with that or did I miss something? |

| I am not so big on the summer Olympics, but I LOVE the winter games with the Figure Skating! Janice is really into the Olympics and said it may prevent her from posting much during the games! I am glad you started a thread for the games!! I wonder why the didn't wear the outfits? For me so far the highlight was they used David Cook's song last night! I didn't see much of the opening ceremony because I was too busy throwing my computer at the wall out of frustration trying to set-up this board! Thank God Justin got home before I started throwing furniture OK, I didn't really throw the laptop at the wall - put I did spank it a few times _________________ "You can kinda just be. | Never did see any Equestrian events televised today as promised, but did watch some men's and women's swimming and men's gymnastics and enjoying all of it! How about that Dara Torres getting a silver in the relay tonight! Dayum! 41 years young and what a powerhouse! I love it! |

| YAY for Dara! That is awesome! I didn't see any T.V. today. I was too busy here! I will have to read all about on-line. Perhaps I can see her winning moment on You-Tube. _________________ Let's make the most of our time, as long as we're here...

| I didn't notice the women wearing the Project Runway outfits either. Maybe TPTB preferred saying that Ralph Lauren designed the clothes over a designer from a reality show. How disappointing for the PR winner. Do any of you get Canadian TV? It is on my cable package and the station broadcasts events live, so it was cool to watch Michael Phelps win his first gold of these competitions and to watch the other swimming events. Dara Torres is amazing! Emily Silver, one of the women in the relay preliminaries is from my hometown. I don't know her personally, but I have been reading about her swimming accomplishments in the community newspaper since she was in Jr. High School and it was exciting to see her in the Olympics. She did not swim in the finals, but received a silver medal because of her participation in the preliminaries. I like all of the events, but especially the swimming, gymnastics, track & field and diving. I am in awe of all the athletes (including the horses) and what they can do. New world records being set is mindblowing. |

| When I have the chance I found some cool stories on-line to put in here. We can have a nice little Olympic journal. But today is housework and cooking. But I will put stuff here soon. I am not watching it, but like to see the highlights on-line, in the paper etc. _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag. |

| Cool FC! I look forward to reading what you bring over. Janice: Yep, i am scratching my head about the judges and show being centered around that the winner of that challenge's outfit was going to be worn at the openning ceremonies by the Olympic team...but, really now that I am thinking about it, it does'nt make sense because what would the men wear? They all have to be unified and no way a man could wear that! Kind of brings less cred to Project Runway, but I will still love it anyway! I caught Micheal Phelp's win on the evening recap, I bet that was cool to watch it live! Have you seen any equestrian stuff broadcast yet? It was supposed to be on at 3:30 yesterday and it never came on here. I hate to restructure my day again and have it not be on again, so I guess I will just catch the recaps tonight again. |

| horselaydee, I missed the live event, but earlier today I watched some videos of one of the dressage competitions here: NBC videosThere are quite a few videos of the equestrian competitions on the NBC Olympics site under the "video" section and you can select videos by the event type. I don't know the particulars of the dressage competition, but I think it's visually a beautiful sight watching the horses go through the steps. |

| The 4 x 100 men's freestyle relay was very exciting tonight. I was shouting at the TV on the last lap! | Spoiler: | | | Jason Lezak swam an incredible anchor leg and Michael Phelps has his second gold medal Yay! |
That's a great "needle in a haystack" story! |

| I was so happy to see the US Men's Gymnastic team win the bronze. That's a real victory! The Chinese team was phenomenal and deserved the gold. It's unbelievable how complex and risky the routines have become. |

| Men's gymnastics is over all ready? Dayum I wanted to watch the final. I was so impressed with our men's team this year. The women's? Not so much. |
