HL, the men's team competition is over, but the individual competitions are yet to be decided if you like those. The US men's team were interviewed on the Today show this morning and apparently this is the first time any of them has been to the Olympics. How exciting to go home with medals!

The women's individual events are coming up and it looks like the all around is Thursday, vault and floor are Saturday, Uneven bars are Sunday, and the beam is Monday. The men have individuals on the same days except for the all around. Their all around is tomorrow.

The USA men swimmers are powerhouses! They blew away the competition in the 4 x 200 freestyle.

No, I missed the team competition. I didn't know they were showing it. I will keep my eyes on the schedule for the individual events. Honestly it makes me crazy how they break it all up like that. Since I am not into watching lots of the events it is hard to sit through all the other stuff waiting for just the few events I really want to watch.

Thanks for the update Janice! I watched part of the women's gymnastics last night, but they seem to be showing all the stuff I want to watch really late at night. I had to go to bed at 11:00 finally, what a bummer.

Horselaydee, the USA Ladies Gymnastic Team took the Silver. China took the gold. There is some controversy though. Not sure of the details. I think age of girls on China team.

I'm rooting for Dara Torres tonight just as much as for Michael Phelps. She is so amazing! Whatever the outcome, I'm in awe of her accomplishments.

Usain Bolt is insanely fast! I hear that you don't get the full effect of just how fast these sprinters are until you see them race in person. He looks like he could almost take flight.
