My son is Senior. I cannot believe it. I am sad and happy at the same time. He is so smart I swear I sometimes think he cannot possibly be related to me. But I am angsty about him going away to college next year. I will really miss him

Aw Aerwin, I know how you feel since Justin starts his senior year next week They just have grown up so fast haven't they? What's good for me is that Justin is going to go to the same college by us as Eric, so for the first two years he will still be home.

I do not know how I would deal with it if I were you Knowing your baby is going away to school in a year I can't even tell you that you will adjust because I don't think that I could

But you are a strong lady and kids going away to college is normal and a wonderful thing for them! Your son is smart and he will take good care of himself just like you taught him too!

You know he is related to you - he has your curly hair!

You both will make it! He will come home to see you as much as he can. You can visit him. Talk on the phone, email etc. It won't be the same I know, but from the moment we give birth to them we know they will grow and move onward and upward. We try to prepare ourselves, but man that is hard.

With Eric about to turn 20 I know even if he chooses Northern for his last two years of school and can live at home, he will still move out within the next few years and probably never live with us again

We can only hope they marry great girls and give us lots of grandbabies to fuss over!!!!!

Just know we are here to help you through it anytime you need us!

EEEK! I cannot believe it!! Justin's Senior Portrait package came today and I LOVE the pix!!!!! I am so happy!!

When hubby gets home I will see if he can scan my fave and I will post it here! This is my curly headed cutie! You ladies haven't seen him yet. He is just my little dollie pie!

This year the studio put together a wonderful keepsake book with all the proofs!! I can not believe they did that! That is so wonderful because we could only afford to pick two poses since that package was $300 we didn't pay extra for any touch-ups or anything as that would have been way more. So I am beside myself that I have this wonderful keepsake book of all the pix. They did a wonderful job with this book too! I am going to call the studio and thank them from the bottom of my heart! God I wish I had one for Eric like this

Anyway - I am happy, I cried, I ran through the house yelling "Justin! Look at your pictures!!" Needless to say he thinks I am a nutjob

I'll be gone for a couple of days, starting tomorrow. We've decided to get away and go to the ocean. I love the ocean!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe I actually got hubby to go somewhere!

NO!!! There is a board rule - no going away in the first week of the new board!!!

The room is suppose to have free wireless internet so I'm bringing the laptop! Hubby says 'what for'? He'll probably be on it too, but he'll have to share!

Have a great time, sky. This is a good time of the year to go to the ocean. I love the sound of the waves...it's so relaxing. Kind of like a mantra.

It is a great time to go, but I'd also like to be there sometime during a storm, that would be cool.

I love to walk on the beach or just sit and listen to the surf, it is relaxing.

I'm so jealous! Walking the beach and listening to the surf! I haven't gotten to do that in years. I've been to lakes and rivers many times over the years since the boys were born, but not to the ocean Of course going to Lake Michigan almost seems like the ocean as that lake is so freaking huge I'll just pretend it's the ocean.

Yep, Lake Michigan qualifies. Can't see the other side and it has lots of beaches! And stinky fish

Here is my curly topped "Senior Baby"! LOVE him to death! His hair is not this red but the scanner didn't capture the color just right. I am going to play with it in my photobucket and see if I can get some of the red out.
