| I am an oyster lover too! But, like Badger, I don't eat them raw anymore because of the health risks. I grew up in New England so fabulous seafood was plentiful. I think it comes down to what you are exposed to as a child as to whether you groove to it as an adult. My grandmother use to order me lobster when I was a toddler, so I have always enjoyed seafood. Sounds like you and FC are having fun cooking and gearing up for a great spread. Are you cooking too Badger? Merry Christmas Eve to everyone! |

| Before I forget, Happy Holidays to everyone! No, I'm not cooking. I'll be going to my stepmom and sister's house tomorrow. Usually we have our Christmas on Christmas Eve but this year we're doing it on Christmas Day. We'll have our traditional ham and "cheesy potatoes" and cranberry sauce. |

So happy you made it because I heard today an Alaskan Airline trying to leave Seattle had problems with ice. Thank goodness it didn't happen to your plane. I have a cousin flying in from Portland tomorrow and they have been having terrible weather also. Hope he makes it in OK. HL - I got your Christmas card today and it is by far the most beautiful Christmas card of them all! I made it a point to show my female cousins and my mom. They all thought Mo was gorgeous!! My new dollies were a big hit!! Good night ladies! See you tomorrow! Much love to all~ _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag. |

| Have a wonderful Christmas Dinner Adrift! Enjoy your day! Can't wait to hear all about your Christmas Eve HL!! I can't believe you mailed your card to me last Monday That is such a long time to get to me from you! Maybe all the weather issues or something. I am just so glad I got it in time for Christmas Eve so I could show it off to my cousins! It wasn't just my new elves everyone loved. It was all of them - my royal couple too! Some of these cousins haven't been here since I sold the Pullips and got the BJDs. Well, sadly our home is a MESS! Good grief - I have to clean every room downstairs! We truly had way too much food and drinks and desserts etc! Just to prove how anal I am about cleaning I will be scrubbing out the fireplace. We had it going all day and I hate leaving all the mess in there. I even scrub down the bricks inside as best I can to get them looking good. Rob does think I am truly nuts for doing that Well, our big TV in the family room died last night toward the end of the evening. It is 13 years old and has been acting a little touchy for many weeks. Now it is a goner. We are looking through ads today for deals on a new flat screen. We've wanted one for awhile, but always said ours would have to die first. Well - it did Between my mom and Rob's mom we got $500 cash yesterday (that is not counting what I spent on Shea) and we are going to put that toward one and try not to use too much $$$ out of our checking toward one. We are hoping to find one for less than $800. So we will be hitting the after Christmas sales tomorrow!! First Mom and I are going to go shopping in the day and Rob and I will probably hit the stores tomorrow night. Wee!! (now if only we could hit day after Christmas BJD sales I would be in heaven!! ) Sky, love all your pretty Xmas pix!! Hope you are having a ball with the grandkids!! Hey, if you have any leftovers from the Greek Feast be sure and send some to us!! (not that we need any food or anything ) _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." | Merry Christmas! Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday!FC, I think you are working way too hard! But, whatever floats your boat so to speak! How awesome you will be getting a new flatscreen! I so want one too! I bet you can get a nice one for 800.00 on sale! We had a lovely evening last night. I made roasted prawns with morel mushrooms, wild rice, peas, and pear crisp! It was super yummy! What made it really spectacular for me was my man Elvis Costello has a show on the Sundance channel called "Spectacular" and his guest artist last night was James Taylor. Verklempt is all I can say, it was that special and beautiful. That was the best Christmas gift ever! That and my friends at this forum! Glad you stopped in Adrift, Sky, and Badger! :xmastreetrain: :xmastreetrain: |

| HA! Yes, I do work too hard - but I have a thing for my house being really nice. HL - you make the most unusual and interesting meals! I do not even know what prawns are let alone how to make them I love pears so the pear crisp sounds awesome! So glad you got to spend Christmas Eve will all your fave men! ETA: Hubby decided he would vacuum out the fireplace for me. He did something wrong and the stuff shot out all around the room _________________ "You can kinda just be. | Yes, I tend to like to experiment with new gourmet recipes, it is another hobby of mine. I guess you could call me a "foodie" all the way. I love to make healthy food that tastes like it came from a top restaurant...it is my passion. One of them anyway.... If being a chef was'nt so hard on the body and stressful, I would have loved doing that as a career. I prefer it much more as a hobby though I think! | Quote: | | ETA: Hubby decided he would vacuum out the fireplace for me. He did something wrong and the stuff shot out all around the room |
I laughed out loud over this one!!!! Oops! Sorry! I bet you were pissed... I just think that is one of those priceless Ricky and Lucy moments that are just hilarious! |
