I've got a rant - getting older sucks!!

I was out walking around all day in these super cute sandals with a heal and my feet and ankles are now KILLING ME!! :angry3:

I feel for you FC. I've had to give up supercute sandals for more softier, cushy sandals, and there are some out there that are cute. I've often wondered why they can't put in an arch support in all sandals? Some of them are as flat as can be with no support.

Comfort is king now for shoes for sure. Luckily I have still found cutes ones that suit my style. I like the Soft, Born(swedish?), and Privo brand shoes these days and they are cute and extremely comfortable. I have never been able to buy cheap shoes because I have long, narrow feet and cheaper shoes are usually too wide.

I like and wear the same brands, with the addition of Merrell's. My two favorites are Born and Merrell. I can't wear any others without foot pain. I did find some Quarks that are really comfortable.

Oh, I have a new rant!! MY MIL was a total BITCH yesterday at the Father's Day BBQ!! I pretty much let her know it too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! drama

Word to the wise - don't say things about my kids that piss me off - because I will let you have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! angry1

GRRR! There is not anything that makes me madder than someone taking a swipe at my kid. People should know better.

AND - you want to know what got her on my case?? Because Justin asked me to go with to meet with his freshman counselor at the college for his first meeting!!!

She said I should have told him he is a big boy and to go himself!! Same with the doctor appointments I went to with Eric when he ASKED me to go with because he was nervous about his health and wanted me with. She said she went to the doctor ALONE starting at 12 years old and I should have done the same with my kids!!!!

Well, considering where we live if I have sent my kids alone to the doctor at 12 they would have need a couple days to walk there!!!!!!!! WTF??? Who sends a 12 year old alone to the doctor when they are sick?? Woman got on my last nerve!

Said if Justin is confused about his major and what classes to take - he needs to grow up!!!

PISSED WAS I!!!!!!!!!!

NOT her freaking business if my kids ask me to go somewhere with them and I say I will!!

The thing is she carried on and on about it and I kept saying it wasn't her business and got so mad I had to leave the room a few times. My mom had to calm me down. So did hubby.

I would have been pissed too. I would never think to have my 12 yr. child go to the doctor by themselves. What a compliment to you that your sons asked for you to be with them at those times. It shows they value your imput.

LORD! I would NEVER let a 12 year old go anywhere by themselves. EVER!

Same with me if Colin asks me to go somewhere with him, I will!
