I knew I was in the right with my feelings on the matter.

Eric had me go with the first time he met with his freshman counselor too. After that - second semester and second year - he did everything on his own because he was comfortable with the school and the staff.

So Justin is just a little nervous and frankly he has had a wee bit of a hard time adjusting to being out of HS and missing all the kids. He'd know every kid in the senior class since the 4th grade! So even though they weren't all good close friends of his - he misses most of them.

He is nervous and unsure of his future because he wants to be an art major - but also knows the field is tough and iffy. So he is rethinking. He may decide to major in Political Science and minor in art. So he asked me the other night (while talking to me about being sad about missing HS) if I would go with and I said "of course".

Eric of course was so nervous about all the heart tests, plus getting on meds for anxiety. He wanted me along not just for support - but to ask questions about the meds etc. that he might not think of.

Who faults a mom for being there for her kids - regardless of how old they are?? Who faults kids for wanting their folks advise, opinions or help? AND WHO THE F does it at a family celebration/BBQ?????

That's ridculous ! I will be there for Colin as long as he needs me. Heck I'm 45 and my Mum went to the Dr. with me some last summer !

Yes HL - she lives in the MIL appartment.

She used to be easy going - but lately she is a major pain in the butt!

Man, FC, I would have exploded. My daughter will be 22 in August, and she still wants me to help her with school stuff and to accompany her to doctor visits. She's socially reticent, and she knows I'll make sure she gets the proper care, asks the right questions, etc.

You MIL is a piece of work. The term battle-axe comes to mind ...

OK - this is a work related rant!!!!!
First day back after a week's "holiday" (which I took, instead of being signed off ill for certain reasons) to find that yet AGAIN management have lied to me!!!!!!!!:angry3: :angry2: AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I cannot believe I have worked at the same place for the last 16+ years for them to AGAIN treat me like some fucking filing clerk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry for language!!)

With the "credit crunch" it's not an ideal time to walk out of a job, but bugger I am sooooooooooo friggin tempted now!! Oh & believe me, the company I work for has been having increased profits in the financial decline, handy to use it as an excuse though, to not employ minions, but MORE fucking management accountants!!!!

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I am soooooooooooooooooo angry & wound up!! I'm even starting to think about building a file of "complaints" against the company too, but my head really isn't able to cope with that at the moment!!!

HOT!!! The humidity is kicking my butt. I only ran 3 miles today.

But anyway I go to get my eyes checked and the obnoxious eye dr says SO do you have any grandkids ? I said I hope not my son is only 18. It really pissed me off. I NEVER say stuff like that to people. Even if I think it. I work my butt off fighting aging . but I guess it ain't working and I really do look old. Techinically I could have grandkids , but sheesh.
