We were able to find Justin such an awesome little car for the cash we had!!

It is a 1997 Ford Escort! It is clean as a whistle inside and out! It has power everything! A really nice stereo system, brand new tires and only 92,000 miles!!

We went to the Chrysler dealer where Rob got his Town and Country. They had it stickered for $2,900. We spent some time with the guy and we got the car for $1800! They took care of everything as far ordering the plates and title transfer etc. So Justin drove it off the lot for a grand total of $2250 for everything and just waits for the plates and title to be mailed to him. They let us drive it out on the highway etc. as long as we wanted and get it checked out. Other than the fan belt is a little bit warn it is in darn near perfect!!

Yes - he is thrilled! I am just so happy to find such a nice car for that price! In looking on-line and through all the books we just didn't think it would happen. The big car dealerships do not usually hold on to trade-ins - they send them off somewhere - but the salesman said this one was so nice they just knew they could sell it.

OH - and it has air-conditioning! Most of the cars in that price range did not! And it works!!

Two boys - we are both so lucky! Though I have cousins and friends with daughters and they think that is even worse

First he drove over to my mom's to show it to her. Then came back here for a little bit. Picked up two friends and they have been out. They all stopped here about 30 mins. ago to get some food!!! And left again

It is actually his second. His first was my Dad's old 1994 Saturn with 190,000 miles on it. My Dad gave it to him before he passed away (Eric my oldest bought his SUV from him for $4000)

But Justin only had the Saturn about 8 months before it needed all new breaks and a new radiator and hubby felt with all the miles on it that we should not sink any money into it. So Justin got $75 for it from the car junk yard. He has been without a car since January and used his graduation money toward this car.
