If you have a bunny...a tip...

my rabbit enjoys a cardboard box in which I have made some doors .. it is her new home!

Try it!

Moon, sadly I do not have a pet - unless my kids count! Laughing But I love dogs and had some when I was growing up into my early 20s. A good friend of mine had a bunny but they decided to give her to a lady with a farm so she could have a lot more room.

I have a cousin who has bunnies. She takes in foster bunnies, fixes them up and finds them homes. She has one she has kept for herself. His name is Hans. Here is his Christmas photo - she had it made into her Christmas cards last year.

Could he be anymore adorable??!

Yes he was! Patty (my cousin) takes in rescue bunnies and finds them homes! She kept Hans though. She is truly a "bunny whisperer"! I kid you not!

No pets here. We've always had dogs, but after losing the last one, I said no more. He was my 'wish list' dog, an Old English Sheepdog named Toby. I no longer want the Vet bills, or the clean up, or the maintenance or having to worry what to do with one if we should go somewhere. I have plenty of friends who have dogs, so I go there when I need a doggie 'fix'! Besides, my grandchildren and DIL are allergic to dogs and cats. The neighbor's cats come to visit daily!

I hear you Sky, pets are a lot of work, but I really can't imagine my life without them.

I took a few pics of my doggie Cole being an angel while I was doing a doll photoshoot today. He was so funny today the way he acted around the doll! He definitely understood that he had to behave to hang around during the shoot!

It really was one of those priceless pet moments...
Cautiously approaching....

Patiently waiting for mom to finish her dollie stuff...

Ok, maybe now she will throw the ball if I push it over to her ever so gently...

I guess this is going to take a while...sigh!

Epilogue...I took the good soldier for a nice long walk after the dolls got put away. Very Happy

OMG! He is absolutely beautiful! My family always had labs when I was growing up. My son has a golden lab, he is relentless with a ball, seriously. We don't pick up a ball to throw for him if you don't want to commit to an hour of play. I really do miss having a dog, obviously not enough to get another one. It's just so hard saying goodbye and dealing with pet problems. My friend has 3 St. Bernards that I visit for my doggie fix! I couldn't have one now anyway, if I wanted to see my grandson...............

Your gardens are beautiful!!!

Ahhh! Thank you Sky! I remember now you grew up with labs!Cole is the same as your son's dog! He is after us to throw the ball or frisbee all the time too, relentless is an understatement!

He is definitely a high energy dog, but what a lover too! I have never had a dog that tried so hard to please you....that is after he calms down after throwing the ball with him for half an hour or so... Wink

AWW Cole is a doll! I don't have any new pics of my Dogs but I need to have some taken soon before Lady Hallee gets all fat. :) I'm sure Sir Tristan will remain slim and trim!

I always used to have dogs until my last
one died in 2004 and I couldn't bring myself
to get another one.

I now have a Bun - unfortunately I'm not able
to get a photo of her uploaded - but I'm trying to
find a suitable pic somewhere online that will at
least give an idea what she's like.

She's an 'English' - basically white with black markings
on her face and body.

Her 'official' name is 'Angel' but I call her a variety
of names - one of which is 'SuperBun' due to her
amazing ability to escape from her compound area
on some occasions and the fact that she can jump
higher than I ever thought a bun could! Shocked

She's half outdoor half house bun - trained to a cats
litter box and has an indoor enclosure for when she's
in the living room or bedroom. In the kitchen she can
roam around cos there's no carpets, wires etc for her
to chew on - can't believe some of the stuff she'll tuck
into Shocked

She likes to have the back door open so she can hop
in and out from compound to kitchen or just sit 'on the
threshold between the two - though this is dependant
on the weather being suitable. At the moment too - she
is limited to the house because of kids targeting her by
throwing stuff over the wall so it will land right in her
compound area. Latest thing to come over was a full
size bike tire which landed right on the back doorstep.
Luckily the weather was bad and she wasn't out.

She enjoys being up beside me on the sofa or bed
for a cuddle, which is actually the only way we can
enjoy one - cos she doesn't like being picked up
at all and just won't allow it.

I feed her on 'pellets' which I often put inside a
treatball which she pushes around the floor or picks
up and drops to get them out. It took her less than
a day to figure out how to get them. If she's hungry
she will often start nosing it around or tossing it about
as soon as she sees me - dropping the hint that her
tum is as empty as the ball is. She also gets a bit of
veg and other stuff.

If I can find a suitable online pick from a bun website
I'll either copy to here if possible or post a link. :albino:
