| My sons love the artist "Alex Gray". Some of you may remember due to an error with an order for Eric's birthday a few years back - after many emails of complaints the artist called Eric and ended up sending him a signed poster and several free gifts! That was one of the nicest things to happen for Eric. Here is a link to Alex's site! http://www.alexgrey.com/Eric even has some shirts with Alex's artwork (he has the long sleeve version of Nature of Mind and it is gorgeous) and we got him a "coffee table book" of all his work as one of his HS graduation presents! _________________ "You can kinda just be. | My fave artist right now is Thomas Kinkade. I bet you all are not that surprised I also love Norman Rockwell. We even took a little trip once to the Norman Rockwell Museum! We bought some prints. Kinkade's newest releases! My fave is "Mountain Memories". His work just feels peaceful and I always wish I was in the print! http://www.thomaskinkade.com/magi/release/list.doWe did our bedroom in a theme of "country cottage" - the quilt the curtains and prints on the wall - all "country cottage". I recently bought a Thomas Kinkade mouse pad for the playroom computer ETA: I really want to buy The Thomas Kinkade 25 Years of Light coffee table book. One day I will break down and get it. _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag. |

| I also found quite a few watercolor artists when I was in Nova Scotia, Canada that I liked really well. One was this lady's artwork... http://www.karenwilsonstudio.com/gallery.htmlThis artist had a street cart and was selling some of his prints. Looking at his site now, I don't see the ones that I bought, but I love this print and it depicts the town of Lunenburg very well. His name is Frans Aeyelts. He was delightful. His page hasn't been updated in a while, so I'm wondering if anything has happened to him. http://fransaeyelts.com/ |

| Justin's work is remarkable, of course it belongs here. It is the reason why I thought we needed a thread for art! |

| Thanks Sky!! I think so too! I love that one of the boats and the dock Sky! I love paintings/prints of mountains, water, cottages and the woods, outside cafes - something that looks like it's Paris! We have two paintings that look like streets in Paris and one print in our bedroom that is a print of a painting of a park in Paris in the early 1900s. We also have 3 beautiful paintings from an Amish artist from when we took a trip to Amish Acres. My mom BEGS me for one of them every time she comes to my house! I swear one day she will just walk off with it! We have a beautiful painting of woods/trees/water over our fireplace and Rob bought me a gorgeous painting when we first got married. I will take pix of it. I think we only have 7 actual paintings in our house. All the rest are prints _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." | The waterfront one is a favorite of mine, but he did not have that one when I was there. I wish he had, because I would have bought that one too! That is exactly what the Lunenburg waterfront looks like. I bought several of his paintings, Peggy's Cove Lighthouse and a couple of the surrounding areas. I just loved it there! Frans and his Art Cart! |

| Oh and I have an original pastel piece by Eric in my office! It is on the wall right across from my desk! Plus Eric made an awesome one for his room. He did them in 8th grade. We can't really afford a lot of paintings So cool that you got to meet that artist! I really love Karen Wilson's art! I would buy any one of those! _________________ "You can kinda just be. | OMG!! That is my fave one on her site!! It is just so gorgeous! I could just live in that print! Couldn't you? So very beautiful! What size did you get? I would love to get the largest one of that print. Maybe someday *sighs* (I just need to stop getting dolls for presents! Yeah, like that is going to happen ) _________________ "You can kinda just be. Just live your life -- and play." Adam Lambert - OUT mag. |

| I got the 5x7 and framed it up to an 8x10. Mahone Bay is a very 'artsy' little town, very quaint. The inside of the churches are breathtaking beautiful. Here's my picture from across the bay, late afternoon, so the lighting wasn't great. |
